I kiss the moon in shining shimmer
bathing in star-glitz silver glimmer.
Wrapped in baby's breath I quiver.
Cold without his touch I shiver.
she went away and left me lost,
Out at sea wind-blown and tossed.
Stars rain tears and moon's bleed high
since my 'princess' said goodbye.
One plus one equals two minus him.
For her return chances are slim
so to the moon I cry dark fears
freezing alone in my frosted tears.
I hold myself in a winter burr
as shadows move across the water.
Shadows of moon glow and me
shade the ripples of this silent sea.
Rock a bye gently on the sea waves
where many a sailor raging water braves.
When the wind blows, moon storms at sea
awaken me in somber reverie.
